Swedish Massage in Slough: What It Costs and What Actually Happens

If you have been meaning to book a massage for months and keep putting it off, the two things stopping you are usually the same: you are not sure what it costs, and you are not sure what actually happens once you are in the room. This post answers both, plainly.

What a Swedish massage actually is

Swedish massage is the most widely practised form of massage in the world. It uses long, flowing strokes along the muscles, combined with kneading and gentle friction, to release tension and encourage circulation.

It is a relaxing pressure rather than a deep clinical one. You should not be gritting your teeth. Tight areas can feel tender as they let go, but if anything is uncomfortable you say so and we adjust. That is the whole arrangement.

What it costs

Our pricing is deliberately simple:

  • 30 minutes: £40 — enough for focused work on one area, usually back, neck and shoulders.
  • 60 minutes: £60 — the full session, working the whole body or spending real time on the problem areas.

Corporate and team bookings are quoted separately, because they depend on group size and how long you want us for. There are no memberships, no packages you did not ask for, and no upselling at the end of your session. The price we confirm when you book is the price you pay.

Where we are

We are at 44 High St, Slough SL1 1EL, in the centre of town. Slough station is a short walk away, as are the main town centre car parks, which makes it realistic to come straight from the office, the depot or the site without a detour.

Clients travel to us from across Slough and the wider Berkshire and Thames Valley area, including Langley, Burnham, Windsor, Maidenhead and Uxbridge.

What actually happens, step by step

1. A short chat. We ask about your work, your problem areas, and anything we should avoid: injuries, recent surgery, skin conditions, allergies, medication. It takes two minutes and it shapes the entire session.

2. You settle in. You get the room to yourself to undress to your comfort level and get under the towels.

3. The massage. Warm oil, long flowing strokes, and focused work on whatever is tight. Say the word at any point and we change the pressure, skip an area, or stop.

4. Coming back round. Time to get up slowly, a glass of water, and a couple of practical suggestions for keeping the tension away between visits.

What you take off, and what you do not

This is the question people are most reluctant to ask, so here is the straight answer: you undress only to the level you are comfortable with, and most people keep their underwear on.

You are covered by towels for the whole session. Only the area being worked on is uncovered at any one time. You are never exposed, and you get privacy to get ready and to dress afterwards.

Who books this most

Office workers come in with the classic pattern: tight upper back and shoulders from long hours at a desk, often turning into a stiff neck by mid week.

Drivers arrive with the damage of hours locked in one seated position, usually lower back and hips, plus heavy legs.

Trades and site workers book after physical days of lifting, bending and reaching, where everything aches at once rather than in one spot.

Teams book together as a wellbeing perk, which tends to get used far more than a fruit bowl in the kitchen.

What a massage will not do

We think being honest here matters more than making a sale.

A massage is not medical treatment, and we are not doctors. We do not claim, promise or guarantee that a session will heal, cure or treat any illness, injury or medical condition. What we offer is rest and relief: an hour where you stop, your muscles let go, and you leave feeling considerably better than you arrived.

If you have a medical condition, please speak to your doctor first and confirm massage is safe for you. If something needs a GP or a physiotherapist rather than a massage therapist, we will tell you.
