Disclaimer

What our massage service is, what it is not, and what you are confirming when you book with us.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1. Our service is not medical treatment

Work Break provides Swedish massage for relaxation and rest. It is not medical treatment, physiotherapy, sports therapy, chiropractic care or any form of clinical therapy.

Nothing we do or say constitutes a diagnosis, a prescription, or medical advice of any kind.

2. We do not guarantee healing or a cure

We do not claim, promise or guarantee that a massage will heal, cure, treat, fix or relieve any illness, injury, disability or medical condition, whether physical or mental.

Our service exists for a simple reason: because you want to rest, take a break and relax. Any sense of relief or wellbeing a client feels varies from person to person, and should not be expected or relied upon as a health outcome.

3. We are not doctors

Work Break is not a medical practice. Our massage service is not provided by a doctor, nurse, physiotherapist or any registered medical professional, and it is not supervised by one.

Nothing said to you before, during or after a session should be understood as medical advice. Always speak to your GP or another qualified medical professional about any health concern.

4. Consult your doctor before you book

You should consult your doctor and confirm that receiving a massage is safe for you before booking a session with us.

By booking and attending a session at Work Break, you confirm that you have sought medical advice and have been advised that it is safe for you to receive a massage.

5. Allergies, oils and your medical safety

We use massage oils and body oils during every treatment. You must tell us about any allergy or sensitivity before your session begins.

By receiving a massage from Work Break, you confirm that you have no allergy or sensitivity to any body oil, skin oil, massage oil, lotion or cream, and that you are medically safe to receive a massage.

We can only work with the information you give us. We have no way of knowing about an allergy or condition you have not told us about.

6. If you feel unwell

If you feel unwell, faint, dizzy or uncomfortable at any point during a session, tell us immediately and we will stop. If you feel unwell afterwards, seek medical attention.

Our service is not a substitute for medical care and must never be used in place of emergency treatment.

7. Images on this website are AI generated

The photographs used throughout this website are AI generated. They are illustrative only.

They do not show real clients, real members of staff, real treatment sessions, or our actual premises, and they should not be taken as a depiction of a real event or of the room in which you will be treated.

8. Our treatment space is an office environment

Sessions take place in an office environment. It is not a spa and it is not a salon.

The room is clean, private and quiet, and it is set up properly for massage. However, it does not offer spa or salon facilities such as changing rooms, showers, saunas, steam rooms, pools or relaxation lounges. Please book expecting a calm, private room in an office setting rather than a spa experience.

9. Limits of our responsibility

So far as the law allows, Work Break is not responsible for any loss, injury or harm arising from information that you did not disclose to us, or from a failure to follow guidance we have given you.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
